Spring Performance Festival | Simone Forti

Spring Performance Festival (SPF) 16 took place on the first day of spring, Sunday 20 March. SPF 16 was co-hosted by Kunstverein and Galerie Juliette Jongma with de Ateliers, Galerie Gabriel Rolt, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Vleeshal.

Huddle | Simone Forti

For SPF16, Huddle – one of Forti's legendary Dance Constructions which are part of the exhibition Here it Comes – traveled to Amsterdam for one day only. In 1982 Forti participated in the exhibition '60-’80 attitudes/concepts/images at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam where she performed Huddle in the garden of the museum, next to the Richard Serra sculpture. During SPF16 Huddle returned to this site, and was performed again next to the sculpture (15:00), as well as at Gerard Douplein (17:30) in front of Kunstverein Amsterdam.

In 2015 Vleeshal kicked of its Nomadic Program, as an extension of its existing exhibition program in Middelburg. In its Nomadic Program Vleeshal goes on tour, organising exhibitions and other events in collaboration with venues in the Netherlands and abroad, such as Art Rotterdam, Amsterdam Art Weekend, the Spring Performance Festival, WIELS Art Book Fair, Brussels and Poppositions, Brussels.
