Vleeshal invited Clémence Lollia Hilaire to collaborate with us on a public program in the context of her solo exhibition Harvest. In addition to a screening of experimental films, Lollia Hilaire suggested that artist manuel arturo abreu, with whom she had been discussing her work for some time, write a text. And so it happened. In Essay for Clémence, abreu reflects on the exhibition at Vleeshal and cites a number of important sources that highlight the layered meaning in Lollia Hilaire's work.
