Pay it Forward
Art and culture should be accessible to everyone in Middelburg. Yet for many residents, financial barriers still make visiting a museum or cultural institution difficult.
Through Pay It Forward, Vleeshal works with local partners to improve cultural accessibility in Middelburg. Thanks to contributions from local businesses visitors for whom a museum visit is not self-evident can participate in the cultural life of our city free of charge.
Our goal is to lower these barriers and enable broader participation in contemporary culture.
Together, we can create greater social impact and identify organisations that would benefit from support. These may include schools with limited cultural budgets that are not yet able to participate in our educational programmes, as well as asylum seeker centres, Stichting De Vrolijkheid, healthcare institutions, and other community organisations.
How does it work?Businesses can sponsor tickets. Vleeshal then distributes these tickets through community partners and local networks, ensuring they reach people who might otherwise be unable to visit.
Do you have a preference for a particular social organisation? We would be happy to discuss the possibilities.
