Craigie Horsfield is best known for his photographic work and his participation in socially engaged projects. More recently, however, he has been involved mainly in collaborative and experimental sound works. The sound installation 'Soundwork 4.0' was made specifically for De Vleeshal. An adaptation of 'Soundwork 4.0' was presented later in 2002 at Documenta XI in Kassel.
