On Wednesday, October 2, the Team V public program for the exhibition On Water, Flow and Warped Time took place at Vleeshal. Team V was inspired by the themes of this exhibition and created a two-part public program.
In the morning, from 9 to 10am, a yoga session was held at the Vleeshal, led by yoga instructor Angelique Ykel. She developed a special yoga session based on water and the experience of the flow of time. Team V wanted to encourage all participants to take a step back from the stress and challenges of our contemporary way of life, allowing water to slow down time!
In the evening on the same day, workshops were held, and visitors could enjoy cake. Through this program, Team V aimed to focus on imagination and craftsmanship—two aspects that are often overshadowed by consumerism and materialism in our society.
Series
Team V is a group of young, diverse, and creative individuals with a passion for contemporary art. Each member has been selected for their motivation to learn about curatorial processes. They are coached and consulted by the Vleeshal team and learn about all aspects of working in a professional art institution. During the coming year, Team V will get a unique chance to look behind the scenes during Vleeshal’s projects while creating public programs and connecting with the full team, the artists, experts and a wide range of audience members. The members are Janna Dieleman, Agathe Ernandès, Donna van Kuilenburg, Zenana Ojha, Lucy de Theije and Sam Wigglesworth.Â
The Team V program connects education with artistic programming. By letting them organize their own public program in relation to Vleeshal exhibitions, we create space for young voices.
