After walking through this beautiful yet tragic space (largely destroyed by a bombing in the Second World War), I decided to focus the installation on the sculpture that is in the back of the hall.

Within my mind was the image of the devastated center of this city, reconstructed from the desire to restore what was so painfully broken. In other words, this city has a face that looks like something that has been permanently wiped out of history.
