Grant program for Middelburg artists

Open Call

31 March
1 March – 1 April 2024

With the grant program for artists based in Middelburg, Vleeshal encourages artists who live or have their studio in Middelburg to initiate projects or explore new directions within their artistic practice. Introduced in 2019, the grant program allows artists not only to receive financial support for their work, but also to receive substantive feedback from experts from the (inter)national art field.

Middelburg artists can apply twice a year for a project and/or development grant with deadlines on April 1 and October 1. The project grant is intended for a specific project such as an exhibition or a publication. With the development grant, we provide Middelburg artists with financial support to further develop their work, without the requirement of an immediate end-result.

Before submitting your application, it can be reviewed by the Vleeshal team. We will assess if the application is complete and if anything needs to be added or fine-tuned. If you would like to make use of this service, please submit your application no later than two weeks before the deadline and clearly request that the application should be checked. There will be no substantive assessment of the project's prospects to be approved.

The grant program for Middelburg artists can be submitted by emailing the application form, attachments, and financial statement to office@vleeshal.nl.
