Het thema van de Kinderkunstweek is dit jaar: Kijk, zo zijn wij!
Adriano Amaral is een jonge Braziliaanse kunstenaar, die al een aantal jaar in Amsterdam woont waar hij studeerde. In zijn werk onderzoekt hij de relatie tussen kunstmatige en natuurlijke vormen. In Vleeshal Zusterstraat toont hij zijn sculpturen op een vloer van zonnepanelen.
Wat zou jij tonen? Kun je er een tekening van maken? Gebruik zowel materiaal uit de natuur (takjes, klei, stenen) als ook kunstmatige materialen, zoals aluminiumfolie, tape, plastic. Extra moeilijk: Teken eerst een omgeving die in de natuur zou kunnen voorkomen en verfraai die met allerlei kunstmatige materialen ... of omgekeerd... Je tekent eerst een kunstmatige omgeving en plaatst daar dingen uit de natuur in.

Education is of great importance to Vleeshal. Its educational program accompanying the exhibitions is twofold. Firstly, for each child who visits the exhibition there is an educational assignment available at the counter. This assignment is based on the child's perception of the world. Secondly, Vleeshal organizes educational workshops for both primary school and secondary education. This workshop consists of a receptive part in which the schoolchildren or students view and discuss the exhibition, and a reflective part with a processing assignment.
